Courses and Subjects Offered
St. Mary's Secondary School follows the curricular programmes set down by the Department of Education and Science, which may be amended from time to time in accordance with the Education act 1998 (sections 9 and 30)

The principal allocates students to classes. Subject to sufficient demand and resources, the Board of Management reserves the right to determine on an annual basis the range and level of subjects.
Career Guidance
St. Mary's has a career Guidance Counsellor. Individual attention and advice is given especially to Leaving Certificate students. Mock interviews, aptitude testing and career talks covering a wide range of occupations are arranged. The students also have access to a comprehensive library of information to assist them in their career choices
Computers
We have two computer rooms which are networked and each computer has individual access to the Internet. Junior students acquire Word processing skills, study Desktop Publishing and have controlled access to the Internet. Transition Year Students take E.C.D.L. certified Examinations. Senior students studying Enterprise prepare a comprehensive portfolio and consequently acquire excellent computer skills.
