Attendance Record Explanation
Explanation of Attendance Record
In addition to a teacher’s record keeping of attendance during each class, the school records attendance on three occasions during the day.
- The first attendance is taken at the start of the first class.
- The second is taken when the Form Teacher meets his/her class at 10.55.
- A third attendance check is taken at the start of the second last class.
Your daughter’s attendance record will be included with the Christmas and Summer Reports. An attendance record may be obtained anytime by contacting the Deputy Principal.
The school is under obligation to report students with poor attendance to the NEWB (National Education Welfare Board). Parents/guardians will be contacted if attendance becomes a source of concern and an attendance record will be provided.
The Attendance Record details your daughter’s attendance during the three attendance checks.
- AM refers to the attendance check during the first class.
- 11 refers to the Form Teacher’s attendance check Roll Call.
- PM refers to the attendance check during the second last class.
