Higher Options Conference,
14th - 16th September 2011
Higher Options is an exhibition and conference geared towards 5h and 6th year students. During the 3 day event representatives of over 180 Post Leaving Cert Colleges, Institutes of Technology and Universities are at hand to answer questions and queries posed by the students. Coupled with this talks and seminars take place throughout the day, these cover such topics as Choosing a Career, Law, Science, The Fetec System and many more. The exhibition is an excellent opportunity for students to meet directly with those involved in their future.
Stixth Year sudents will be visiting the Higher Options Conference on Wednesday 14 September and will be accompanied by M.s Cremen.
Career Talks
Dublin City University,
Monday 19 September 2011
A representative from DCU will give a presentation on the college to Sixth Year students in the Study Hall.
She will cover such issues as getting into DCU, the various courses available, course requirements, and of course the type of life a student going to DCU enjoys.
Marino CFE
Presentation in the Study Hall to all Sixth Years by Marino College of Further Education on 24 October 2011.
Presentation to cover the various PLC courses on offer, application procedures, specfic requirements needed for their various courses.
DIT, Kevin Street
Presentation by DIT Science Department to the Fifth and Sixth Year Science students. The presentation is concerned with studying Science in general and will have a particular emphasis on Science in DIT. The presentation is delivered by students from the college and gives an important insight from a student perspective.
In the Study Hall from 12.35 to 1.15 on 14 November 2011.
National College of Ireland
Presentation to all Sixth Years on Monday 28 November in the Study Hall at 11.55 am.
Centrally located in Dublin's Docklands behind the IFSC. Their courses are mainly business realted. Progression can made from level 6 to level 8 in a very supportive environment. Presentation to cover all aspects of college life.
DIT Business School
Presentation by DIT Business School, Aungier Street, in the Study Hall for all Sixth Years from 12.35 pm to 1.15 pm on Monday 5 December 2011.
The emphasis is on the different type of business degrees and the various career opportunities that follow a business degree.
