Makers of World Wide Brand
Sudocrem
Sudocrem has been a successful Irish Brand for 86 years. It was developed in Dublin in 1931 by Pharmacist Professor Thomas Smith.
Originally this skin treatment was called "Smith's Cream", but today it is known World Wide as Sudocrem and the most interesting part is that it is made right on the doorstep of St. Mary's Secondary School.
Our fifth year students had the fantastic opportunity of paying a visit to this local factory.
The day was very informative for the students, who were provided with information on the History of the Company, and got to experience what a day in the factory involved for the staff.

We were so well looked after on our visit to Tosara and everyone thoroughly enjoyed the visit from start to finish. During the visit to the production area we all had to be kitted out for hygiene reasons - special hats, gowns and shoe covers had to be worn. That photo has been saved for the Sixth Year Graduation 2018.
Many thanks to Richard, Sarah and the team.

Prior to the visit, a team from Forest Tosara visited to the St. Mary's for a presentation of how their business operates and on career opportunities in manufacturing. As with the visit, the team were superb and gave very generously of their time
