Anti Cyber Bullying Campaign
Anti cyber bullying classes have been designed to teach first and second years about the dangers of social network sites such as Kik, Facebook, Snapchat and of course the big one Ask FM.

This initiative was set up by Rebecca Redmond Trimble, Casey Nugent and Rachel O’Conner Farrell, and all third years in St Maria. Our main aims are to
  • Teach the younger years to be aware of the internet and its dangers.
  • To remind them to be safe when using Facebook, Snapchat and other social network sites.
  • To make them aware of the terms and conditions on social networking sites.
  • To help them with any social networking queries they may have. So the have someone to talk and trust with their social networking problems.
  • To make them feel more confident to talk to someone about their cyber bullying experiences.
The girls visit classes on a Wednesday during the Form Class time and their valuable insights have been well received.

This article has been written by all three girls, Rebecca Redmond Trimble, Casey Nugent and Rachel O’Conner Farrell.
