First Year Friendship Day
In the December of First Year, a Friendship Day is organised for all our First years.

Students undertake a number of workshops on topics including
  • Defining a Friendship
  • Qualities of a Good Friend
  • Understanding Bullying
  • Social media
  • Handling Difficult Friendships
  • Friendships Not Working
  • Being a Friend
  • Friendship Reflections
  • Finish with a Prayer Service

The day is designed to help the First Years to bond and to assist them in settling into their new School. Friendship is a vital part of our School and our lives. Building a good understanding of what we can do for our friends, how they can help us and how we need them is an important part of the education that students receive in St. Marys.

This program is one of St. Mary's Wellbeing Initiatives and is most beneficial to our students.
